Almond Crusted Fish


  • 2 each 8 oz mahi mahi fillets (will work with other filet fish like swordfish, cod, tuna, etc.)
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped sliced almonds
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • Salt, pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Flour for dredging fish


  1. Mix almond and brown sugar in a bowl.
  2. Season fish with salt and pepper.
  3. Dust fish with flour, then dip into egg and press fish into almond mixture, flipping over and pressing again to get a good coating.
  4. Heat some oil in a heavy bottom pan over medium heat.
  5. Cook fish in pan flipping once about for 7-8 minutes depending on size.
  6. Be careful not to burn the nuts and reduce heat if necessary.
  7. Serve with rice and enjoy on its own.
