Almond Crusted Fish
Ingredients
- 2 each 8 oz mahi mahi fillets (will work with other filet fish like swordfish, cod, tuna, etc.)
- 1 cup coarsely chopped sliced almonds
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- Salt, pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- Flour for dredging fish
Directions
- Mix almond and brown sugar in a bowl.
- Season fish with salt and pepper.
- Dust fish with flour, then dip into egg and press fish into almond mixture, flipping over and pressing again to get a good coating.
- Heat some oil in a heavy bottom pan over medium heat.
- Cook fish in pan flipping once about for 7-8 minutes depending on size.
- Be careful not to burn the nuts and reduce heat if necessary.
- Serve with rice and enjoy on its own.
