Turkey Tacos

Serves: 4


  • 1 pound ground turkey breast
  • 8 oz mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon low-sodium tamari
  • 1/2 tablespoon taco seasoning, lower sodium or a blend of cumin, paprika, chili,
  • onion and garlic powder, dried oregano, black pepper
  • 1/2 cup minced onion (fresh)
  • 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup fresh salsa or pico de gallo
  • 4 ea. Romaine or Iceberg Lettuce “taco shells” leaves


  1. Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, add turkey, mushrooms, tamari, taco seasoning, minced onion.
  3. Add olive oil to pan and spread to coat pan.
  4. Add turkey meat mixture to pan.
  5. Cook until cooked through.
