At the end of 2022, according to the Brewers Association, there were just under 10,000 craft brewers in America producing more than 24 million barrels of beer a year. Every year the amount of breweries has gone up, with Michigan now ranking in the top ten of the U.S. with more than 400 breweries throughout the state. And locally in the surrounding communities of Macomb, Oakland and St. Clair counties, there are approximately 50 craft brewers.
